PGE (Portland General Electric) Pending
About +$8/month on a typical bill. PGE filed a general rate case in early August 2026 proposing a 4.8% overall increase, 3.9% for residential customers or $8.33/month at 780 kWh (about $10.68 scaled to 1,000 kWh), with rates effective July 1, 2027 after a 10-month review. Funds West Side transmission/substation upgrades, the South Milliken line rebuild, meter replacement and wildfire mitigation; proposes an inflation cap on 2028-2029 base rate increases.

The PUC's combined 2026 decisions (annual power cost update UE 452 settled with a $37.6 million forecast reduction, power cost true-up, storm cost amortization and distribution plan rider) raise a typical PGE residential bill about $7.97 or 5% starting April 1, 2026; residential changes were delayed from January 1 by the FAIR Act winter moratorium. Filing date reflects the April 2025 AUT filing.
