Rate RSE/CNP/ECR moratorium through 2027: Rather than a rate case, Alabama Power asked the Alabama PSC in late 2025 to hold retail rates flat; on Dec. 2, 2025 the PSC approved a moratorium on upward Rate RSE adjustments through 2027, kept Rate CNP compliance factors and the Rate ECR fuel interim factor at current levels through December 2027, delayed Lindsay Hill plant cost recovery to January 2028 and let the company use nuclear production tax credits to offset 2027 costs. No bill change for a 1,000 kWh customer results in 2026-2027 from these mechanisms. Source
