PUCT Docket 56211: CenterPoint Houston Electric's 2024 rate case initially sought about $17 million (1%) more from retail customers (about $149 million in base rates before offsets, a $1.25-$1.52 monthly increase for 1,000 kWh). After the City of Houston rejected the request, a January 2025 settlement cut annual revenue by about $47 million at a 9.65% ROE; the PUCT approved it March 13, 2025, lowering typical residential bills by about $1 per month through 2029. Separately, about $1.2 billion of Hurricane Beryl and other storm restoration costs approved in October 2025 add about $2 per month over 15 years. Source
