25-0392-EL-AIR: AEP Ohio filed May 30, 2025 for about $97 million more in base distribution revenue, which would have added $3.95 per month (2.14%) for a 1,000 kWh residential customer to cover poles, lines, transformers and line-worker costs. The PUCO approved a settlement on April 1, 2026 that raised base distribution revenue by only $11 million and returns about $105 million of tax savings over 18 months, lowering the distribution portion of a 1,000 kWh bill by about $1.22 per month; the Ohio Environmental Council projects riders authorized in the deal could add up to $4.38 per month by end of 2026 and $10.28 by 2028, and higher transmission charges approved separately raise overall bills.
